How This Site Works?

Streaming Video

TheQuiltingSchool.com is a subscription-based video streaming web site. Essentially, you can view video content
stored on our cutting edge servers over the internet. The content is accessible any place you have access to the
internet, so you can watch quilting related videos at home, work and on vacation without concern about having a DVD
player and TV. To make this possible, you will need a computer and internet connection that is fast enough to stream
the video. This video content is formatted for a 300 kbps connection. Cable, DSL, some Satellite, and T1 connections
are usually fast enough. There are several steps you will need to follow in order to have access to this video content.

Confirm You Can Access Content

The video subscriptions are nonrefundable. Therefore, be sure to check that you have the ability to view the videos. To
do this, go to the free content list on the home page. If you can view all the free content then you will be ready to move to the
registration process.

Register

The first step is to register. From our home page, click Register Here! (the link is found at the top of the page). You will
be taken to the registration page.

Username - Enter a name that you will use to log into the site.
Password - Enter a letter and number combination that you can easily remember, then write it
down.
Email - Enter an email address. This address will receive newsletters, updates and notices from the site adminis
trator.
First Name - Enter your first name.
Last Name - Enter your last name.
Founding Member Number - If you are a founding member (you purchased a membership at MQS in Kansas
City in 2007), enter the number here.
Where did you hear about thequiltingschool.com? - Choose the item that best describes how you found this site.
Terms and Conditions - After reading the terms and conditions, check this box.

 

Subscribe

Once you have followed the free registration process, you will need to log into your account to subscribe to video
content. At the top of any page, click on “log in” and enter your username and password ). You will be taken to the account screen.This page is divided into three sections: Profile, Subscriptions and Payments. From the Profile page you can reset your password and view the information you entered when you registered. The Subscriptions section contains a list of both the groups of which you are currently a member and the groups you may join. There are two types of subscriptions.

The first is a limited Quick-View. This one is associated with a single video and is good for seven (7) days and costs $9.95. The second is a larger group for all video content from a single person called a Club. These groups last for one (1) year and costs $59.95. TheQuiltingSchool.com uses Authorize.net to process payments quickly and securely so that you can begin viewing your video content as soon as possible.

Subscriptions purchased at trade shows

Once you have purchased a subscription at a trade show, you will need to register with the site. This will ensure that you have your username and password, that your email address is correct, and that you have read the terms and conditions. Once we receive notice that you have registered, we will manually setup your subscriptions and notify you via email within 1 business day.

 

 

Video Content

Once you are a member of an author’s Club or have purchased a Quick-View you can click on the author’s content library from the home page. Locate video of choice and click on it’s link. If you are experiencing difficulties viewing video, please visit the support page (the link is found at the top of each page), and follow the steps. If you are continuing to experience difficulties, email for support at toddf@thequiltingschool.com.
NOTE: Due to network congestion that is a part of the internet, you may simply be attempting to access the video during high volume activity on your local network or here on our server. Therefore, waiting a short time and attempting to access the video again may resolve the difficulties.
