When attempting to watch a video, there are several thing to watch for that will help you know what is working and what isn't working.
1st - Each video is embedded in a Blackboard picture. If you see this blackboard, then the flash file IS loading correctly. If you only see a white box, then your flash player is not able to load the video file. Check your flash video player for errors.
2nd - If you do see the blackboard, but no video player appears or the player does appear, but the progress bar only shows slanted lines then the video server is having difficulty establishing a video stream. This can result from a high video server load (many people trying to watch video at one time) or your internet connection is not stable enough to create the stream. If you are using a wireless connection at home - try plugging directly into the router. A direct connection is more stable than wireless. Also, you may need to contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) for assistance. You can also try playing the video from an alternate computer.
3rd - If you are able to see the video, but it stutters or the audio and video is not synchronized - then your have the same issues as above. Your internet speed may not be adequate or stable enough. Or you may need to use a direct connection instead of wireless.
NOTE about Our Video Quality vs. other video sites.
TheQuiltingSchool.com is committed to providing high quality internet video streaming. The video quality is higher and more demanding that many other internet video sites. Note the 400kbps streaming bandwidth requirement. This is far greater than video on places like YouTube(r). Therefore video may play fine on other sites, but will require higher demands for watching video here. PLEASE TEST video playback before purchasing any video subscriptions.
